Strategic PR for Your Brand’s Growth

Terelle Jerricks is a Los Angeles–based journalist, editor, and publicist whose work bridges investigative reporting, cultural storytelling, and independent film advocacy. He currently serves as publicist for filmmaker Natoma L Keita, formerly known as Constance L. Jackson, bringing a sharp editorial eye and a deep understanding of narrative to the promotion of socially grounded cinema.
Jerricks began his journalism career at Nommo, the historic Black student publication at UCLA, where he served as editor for three years. He graduated in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in history, grounding his work in a strong sense of context, archival research, and critical analysis. In 2003, he joined Random Lengths News, Los Angeles Harbor’s last independently owned progressive news magazine, where he has spent nearly two decades reporting on issues including port pollution, housing inequity, labor, economic justice, and community policing.
As editor, Jerricks has led investigative coverage, managed public records research, and mentored emerging journalists while helping shape the publication’s editorial direction. His work reflects a sustained commitment to community-centered journalism and accountability.
In 2024, he launched “The Hidden History of Black San Pedro,” a column series uncovering overlooked narratives of Black life, labor, and faith in the harbor area. Across his career, Jerricks has consistently pushed creative and journalistic boundaries while maintaining a clear dedication to truth, history, and the communities he documents and represents.
